Getting Firefox to access ports below 1024

Seems that for our safety Firefox has decided to turn off access ports below 1024 when browsing. Well this is a royal pain. The error message you get is "This address uses a network port which is normally used for purposes other than Web browsing. Firefox has canceled the request for your protection." Thank goodness you can turn it back on. See below.

    * Enter the url about:config in your Firefox browser url bar.
    * Right click somewhere, and choose "New => String"
    * In the setting Name box type "network.security.ports.banned.override"
    * In the Setting Value box, type "1-65535".
    * Click OK
